Well, can someone please tell me where Christmas and New Year went, as I’ve just turned around, blinked, and we’re already in the second month of the year …and BREXIT’s still rumbling on …!?

Even more reason, in my opinion, to start getting your business on a robust footing in readiness for whatever transpires from the ‘B word’, and exactly why we ran our extremely well attended and popular 90-Day Business Planning and Cashflow Forecasting workshops, during January. If you missed out on any of these, and you need to speak to your Business Growth Manager (BGM) for some support in either of these crucial areas, get in touch with them directly or email us and we’ll be happy to help you hit the ground running this quarter. 

Along the same ‘getting your business foundation right’ theme, we kickstart the month with a Sales workshop on Thursday 7 February followed by a Cyber Security workshop on the Thursday 28 February. Both these events are proving extremely popular (as is always the case at this crucial time of the year), so get booked on ASAP, to avoid disappointment,

Coming up in March the ever-popular Veena V is running a video marketing masterclass, and we are also running a workshop designed to help SMEs design business plans fit to present to potential investors. If you are aiming to raise finance for your business this year make sure you book your place now.

For those of you in the Care sector, hopefully you will have seen our recent Care Bulletin, which provides some really important care news, advice and opportunities. If you are operating in this sector and would like to benefit from free business support, complete our registration form and once approved, our lead Care BGM will get in touch with you to discuss your business needs.

You may also have been recently contacted by our independent programme evaluators (ERS) who are surveying our SME clients for feedback on ‘Phase One’ of the Building Legacies programme, which took us up to the end of 2018.  If you haven’t yet responded to the survey, please do so at your earliest possible convenience, as this information is really important to us in terms of helping us shape the BGM support and training programme for the next three years of Building Legacies.

As we move into ‘Phase Two’ of the programme, we are finalising the details to start procuring the next group of external specialist trainers and consultants to help us run our workshop and 1-2-1 schedule from April onwards.

Keep watching this space for details of our bright, refreshing (and current!) post-Q2 workshops and events programme. Apart from having a seriously intensive focus on the Care, Construction and Creative sectors, the programme will also incorporate digital inclusion, cyber security, data protection, improved business planning and some whizzy new ‘cash is king’ sales and cashflow seminars.

As always, plenty for all of us to do this month and next, but there’s still time for you to get your planning foundations sorted for the rest of the year, so don’t hesitate to contact either your BGM directly, or the main office if you need us!
