Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon once said “If you do build a great experience, customers tell each other about that. Word of mouth is very powerful”.
Zig Ziglar also wrote “If people like you, they will listen to you – but if they trust you, they’ll do business with you.”

Well as we enter a new phase in our business life, I certainly think these statements are true when I look around and realise we already have over 220 SME entrepreneurs already registered for our new Building Legacies programme, and most of those are previously satisfied clients (or referrals) who’ve enjoyed the whole ELBP experience and who trust us. The new phase isn’t just about starting new programmes though, it’s also about us deciding to make some fundamental changes while we were collaborating with our long-term partners Newham College over at their ‘Business Lab’ in Stratford on a short support project last summer.
We took a conscious decision then to start spending more quality time with less clients, and finding out who was really up for the journey, who was prepared to put in the hard yards, and who therefore had the capacity to be capable and credible suppliers to larger organisations – and that’s all we should really be about – period.  We’re therefore delighted to be not only partnering with Newham College again on the ERDF part-funded ‘Building Legacies’ programme, but also by the fact that we now have the opportunity with what is a previously unheard of 3-year (yes 3 years!) programme to make a material difference to the business lives and prosperity of over 400 SMEs in East London, the City and well, the whole of London really!  As well as taking those SMEs through a full 12 hour support programme, we’ll also be supporting 53 new enterprises, helping 95 to introduce ‘new to the firm products’ and also helping to create 60 new jobs!
Despite all the doom, gloom and uncertainty brought about by Brexit, I’m absolutely delighted to be leading a new team of hand-selected business support professionals, as we venture headlong into Building Legacies, which runs all the way up until the end of 2018.  What we now have are dedicated salaried coaches and mentors (and not box-tickers!) who have all been in business themselves and know how to absolutely walk the talk in terms of the whole SME business support journey, and our ever-growing client base knows that, which is why we’ve already signed up over two hundred!  We’re also now being very choosy with the ‘buyers’ we engage with, and not just helping them out with their CSR obligations (although that’s very important). No, the buyers we want to engage with are the ones who come up with realistic contract and works opportunities, which we can service only with those capable and credible (yes, there’s those words again!) who can step up to the ‘procurement plate’ and be properly fit-to-supply.  I’m up for the challenge, the team are up for the challenge, and so we’re really now looking for quality suppliers and buyers who want to work with us, and start making a real difference to the business support and supply-chain brokerage arena in London.
If that’s you, get in contact now.

Thanks for your time, and let’s start doing some business!
